How to Replace an audi key replacement G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor
The grey wire is located on the edge of transmission, above the flywheel ring. This sensor sends signals through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU uses this information to regulate fuel and boost. It also sends an alert to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.
The sensor serves as a reference to correlate with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu needs to be aware of when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also the position of the camshaft, in order to activate the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate the possibility of a chain stretch or jump in the chain link of the upper timing chain. The code won't show without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It can be a bit difficult to test because there are different connector pins, and each has its own functions. The most effective method to test it is to measure the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is fully operational, it should be reading about 1000 ohms. Look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this component.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a massive drop in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked with gasoline and the fourth was dry. When I crank the engine, there are no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each of the injector holes, the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stays shut. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset PID without success. The car can start when the G28 is not plugged in and runs fine when it is plugged in but it still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value that is -49c even after unplugging it. Also, i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.
I'm not certain what to do, but i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. Let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and they both work in the 80, 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a salvage yard or at a parts store.
