Testing is a bit challenging as there are two different connector pins, and they perform different functions however the best method of testing it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is fully functional, it should read around 1000 ohms. Examine for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are issues with this component.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at full speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, 3 were drenched in gazoline, the fourth one was dry. When i crank the engine with no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I tried to test the ground connections of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I found zero ohm. So i assume the problem is in another place.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it runs fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when unplugged, still shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.
I don't know what to do. I feel like i've pretty much ruled everything else out. But i am afraid i might have missed something. Please let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor.
